A Little About Me

This will be my ninth and a half year of teaching at the elementary school level.  I was born and raised in North Carolina.  After attending the University of North Carolina at Asheville on a Teaching Fellows scholarship, I taught 4th grade in my hometown until I fulfilled the obligations of the scholarship.  I then took an exciting opportunity to live and work in Spain for a school year; I taught English as a Second Language to Spaniards between the ages of 5 and 50.  Upon returning, I taught 3rd and 4th grades before moving to Austin.  Two years ago I taught 5th grade in another AISD school.  I am THRILLED to be teaching my favorite grade and hope to share this enthusiasm with your children!
